One man's silver lining

From something bad, there always comes something good. In this case, I have found something extremely wonderful and that is the support, friendship and generosity of the St. Francis de Sales parishioners, friends and former students.

Both my wife and I wish to sincerely thank from the bottom of our hearts Jen Gustafson, Jen Grosskoff, Kate O'Donnell, Mr. and Mrs. Warkenthien, Mr. and Mrs. Bahner, Mr. and Mrs. Amick, Emily Bakken, Gloria Bakken, Cathy Daniel, Pat Foley, Mr. and Mrs. Porter, Mr. and Mrs. Kane, Angela DeRose, Alicia McGahan, Steve Vinci, Jane Doyle, the members of the Out of Storage Band and anyone else who helped to organize the two events on my behalf. Special thanks also to Marcelino Benito for his video report.

It was absolutely wonderful to have an opportunity to see everyone, especially my former students from prior years and, of course, the class of 2009. I felt extremely proud to watch each of you graduate and begin the next journey in your lives.

We will always keep you all in our thoughts and our prayers as we continue down this journey and hope someday we will all meet again, under better circumstances. Thank you all again.
