Fishing derby set:

Mundelein will host its annual fishing derby Saturday, July 11 at Noll Park, which is on Hampton Lane. The free event will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It's open to kids 13 or younger. They should bring fishing equipment and a picnic lunch.

Teen Music in the Park

The village of Antioch will host "Teen Music in the Park" on Friday, June 26 and July 10 at the Williams Park Pavilion, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. G-Town DJ's will provide the music with more than 20,000 songs. Volleyball, basketball and bags will also be available. The event provides an opportunity for young people to come together to socialize and catch-up friends. Village staff will be on hand to chaperon. Williams Park is just north of Depot Street, off Main Street. For details call (847)-838-4032

Child car seat safety:

A free inspection of child car seats is scheduled for 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20 at the Advocate Condell Medical Center day center parking lot, 700 Garfield Ave., Libertyville. Inspections will be performed rain or shine by certified technicians. Call (847) 990-5295.

Wine and art stroll:

The second annual Wine and Art Stroll is scheduled for 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 26 in downtown Waukegan. The event, sponsored by Waukegan MainStreet, features art, music and fine wine tastings at 15 downtown shops. Local artists will display various forms of work including basket-making, water colors and other media. Advance reservations are $10 per person at (847) 623-6650 by June 24. Tickets on the day of the event are $15. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. on Clayton Street between Genesee and County streets.
