Oswego man sued over shooting deaths of wife, 3 kids

A wrongful death suit has been filed against a suburban Chicago man charged with fatally shooting his wife and three children in the family's SUV.

The suit filed by the executor of the victims' estates looks to keep Christopher Vaughn from claiming any of their assets, and it seeks his assets.

Vaughn is the beneficiary of his wife Kimberly's $1 million life insurance policy.

He's pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder in her death and the deaths and their three young children.

Authorities found their bodies June 14, 2007, in the Oswego family's sport utility vehicle parked on a frontage road about 40 miles southwest of Chicago.

Vaughn is being held without bond at the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
