Libraries closed July 17:
Naperville's Nichols, 95th Street and Naper Boulevard libraries will be closed July 17 for in-service training. The libraries will resume their normal hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 18. Drive-up returns for all library materials are available 24 hours a day at Nichols, 200 W. Jefferson Ave.; Naper Boulevard, 2035 S. Naper Blvd.; and the 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Drive. Materials may be renewed at the library's Web site at www.naperville-lib.org by clicking on "My Account" or patrons can check due dates by calling 961-0460.
Tournament needs volunteers:
Aurora's Youth Sports Department is seeking volunteers for its Hoops on Fire: Three on Three Basketball Tournament that will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 27 at East Aurora High School, 500 Tomcat Lane, Aurora. Volunteers need to arrive by 8 a.m.; split shifts are available. Scorekeepers, referees and information/registration booth helpers are needed. For details, call (630) 264-8267.
Golf course invites youth:
Young golfers have more opportunities to play this summer at Orchard Valley Golf Course, 2411 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora. Saturday and Sunday evenings are set aside for families with children ages 12 and younger starting at 5:30 p.m. The course also is shortened to accommodate beginners, with two sets of tees available. Children who complete at least four holes receive a complimentary snack and fountain drink upon turning in the scorecard at the golfers' lounge.
