Charges filed against man shot by cop
Chicago police say charges have been filed against a man who was shot by an officer during a disrupted narcotics arrest on the city's West Side.
Officers say 22-year-old Vincent Parks was shot after he drove his van directly at police when they attempted to stop him late Friday in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant.
Parks was wounded in the shoulder and taken for treatment at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Authorities say Parks was charged Saturday with aggravated assault of a peace officer and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
