1 killed, 6 hurt in Dan Ryan crash

A Chicago highway accident has killed one person and injured six others.

Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva says the six survivors were taken to a hospital in serious-to-critical conditions.

The Illinois State Police says the rollover crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway. The Illinois Department of Transportation says all southbound lanes have been closed around the crash site.

Authorities are investigating.
