Protect our future, support energy bill

Each year the carbon emission levels keep growing and the effects of global warming are worse.

There are many different sources of energy that are not being utilized. The prices on electric bills are starting to sky rocket and have negative impacts on many people.

My aunt was working to rebuild her roof, but midway through, her electric bill jumped from somewhere in the range of $100 to somewhere closer to $800. Now she has had to stop work on her roof and try and find ways to cut down on her monthly bill.

If we could use other sources of energy (such as wind farms or solar panels), then the amount of energy used to power homes would go down and there would be a cut on global warming pollution. So I am urging Rep. Mark Kirk to support the American Clean Energy and Security Act.

This is not only to help our current energy situation, but also for our future.
