Naperville announces road closings for triathlon

Numerous road closures and parking restrictions will be in place Sunday morning , June 14, in Naperville during the U.S. Women's Triathlon.

The race, which attracts more than 2,000 competitors, begins at 7 a.m. at Centennial Beach near downtown. The triathlon route will be closed beginning around 6 a.m. and remain so until about 11:30 a.m.

Temporary road and lane closures, along with parking restrictions, will apply to the following streets:

• 75th Street from Book Road to Rickert Drive (westbound curb lane only);

• Book Road from 75th Street to Rickert Drive (northbound lane only, open to southbound traffic);

• Rickert Drive from Book Road to 75th Street (eastbound lanes only from West Street to Book Road; closed to all traffic between West Street and 75th Street);

• West Street from Aurora Avenue to Rickert Drive;

• Aurora Avenue from West Street to Main Street;

• River Road from Aurora Avenue to Jefferson Avenue (northbound curb lane only);

• Jefferson Avenue from West Street to Ewing Street;

• Jackson Avenue from West Street to Webster Street;

• Eagle Street from Aurora Avenue to Jefferson Avenue;

• Webster Street from Hillside Road to Water Street;

• Hillside Road from West Street to Main Street;

• West Street from Jefferson Avenue to Stevens Street;

• Ewing Street from Jackson Avenue to Jefferson Avenue;

• Mill Street from Jackson Avenue to Jefferson Avenue;

• Porter Avenue from Webster Street to Main Street.
