Old-time radio comedies come to life at Elgin Theatre Company

Are you ready for something spectacular? The Elgin Theatre Company presents "A Comedy Spectacular 2." From out of the past come the thrilling sounds of yesteryear such as the Marx bothers, Abbott and Costello, and Fibber McGee and Molly, all joking again.

The Elgin Theatre Company summer production of "A Comedy Spectacular 2" provides you with a re-enactment of the highlights of some of the best of old-time radio comedy shows.

The cast will be using the original scripts. Their voices are remarkably similar to those of the original all-time radio greats.

"Funny is an attitude" said Flip Wilson and that is the premise of this production. Enjoy one belly laugh after another as we recreate these historical and hysterical comedies for you.

The re-enactments will be presented at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, June 12-27 at the Sears Gallery Theater, Park Street and Academy Place in Elgin.

Ticket prices for this production are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and youth. Group rates are available. Special deserts will be sold during intermission at this production.
