A man fled on a bicycle after robbing a Rolling Meadows bank Thursday afternoon, Rolling Meadows police said.

At just before 1 p.m., the man entered the MB Financial Bank at 2251 Plum Grove Road with a semiautomatic pistol and demanded money from a bank teller, police said. He then fled in an unknown direction with the cash.

Police said the robber was described as a slim, white male with blue eyes in his late 20s to early 30s. He is between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall, and was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt, khaki cargo-style short pants and gym shoes. In addition, he wore a bandanna and gloves.

No one was hurt during the robbery, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
