Machine to host Denver in lacrosse match Sunday

Looking for its second win of the young season, the Chicago Machine will take on the Denver Outlaws in a Major League Lacrosse matchup at 3 p.m. Sunday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview.

Chicago opened the MLL season on May 16 in Denver win a 13-11 victory, the first road win in the history of the fourth-year franchise. The Machine have lost two hard-fought games since then, including last weekend's 16-14 loss to Boston at Soldier Field when a furious fourth quarter rally by Chicago fell short.

Sunday's pro game will be preceded by the Illinois Boys High School "B" Championship game at 9 am and the Illinois Boys High School "A" Championship game at 11:30 am. There are two ticket specials: anyone age 18 and younger can purchase half price tickets ($10/ticket), and Bridgeview residents can purchase a ticket for $7 plus a food/drink special for another $7.
