ECC, Judson partner up to offer technology degree
They're neighbors, and now partners.
Judson University in Elgin has teamed with Elgin Community College's Center for Advanced Studies, allowing ECC students to earn a Judson bachelor's degree in management of technology systems through courses at the community college campus.
Judson is the third university to partner with ECC. The college previously established a bachelor's program with Columbia University of Missouri in 1998 and Northern Illinois University in 2005.
Currently, ECC graduates can transfer to Judson to complete their bachelor's degree. Also, ECC adult students can transfer up to 81 hours of ECC credit and attend Judson to complete a degree.
Judson President Jerry Cain said the partnership provides a prime opportunity for the university to establish a presence on Elgin's south end and meet those students' needs.
