Clean energy bill will solve problems

I look to the newspapers for news information but lately I have not seen much focus on the dire environmental problems that we face. I am particularly concerned with the lack of attention paid to the American Clean Energy and Security Act that has been recently making its way through Congress.

This bill will solve a number of problems, such as replacing our source of precious fossil fuels for energy with natural renewable resources like wind and solar power. There are also dozens of chances to create more jobs which many talented citizens of Arlington Heights could certainly use in this economy.

I have been a resident of Arlington Heights nearly all of my life and I have been pleased with the concern that Mark Kirk has shown toward environmental issues. I hope that votes to support the clean energy investment that will be beneficial to my fellow constituents, the environment and the world.
