Jain to step down as Kellogg dean

Northwestern University says Dipak Jain will step down as dean of the school's Kellogg School of Management.

Northwestern on Monday said that the 51-year-old Jain plans to resign on Sept. 1. The school says he'll take a year off before rejoining the business faculty.

Provost Daniel Linzer says an interim dean will be named while the university does a nationwide search for Jain's replacement.

Jain will leave after eight years as Kellogg's dean. He was previously an associate dean of the school.
