Let the grass lie where it falls

For preservation of our environment, the grass clippings after mowing are good for the lawn because grass is 75 percent water and it will quickly decompose and nourish the lawn with nitrogen making artificial or chemical fertilization not necessary.

Skokie officials hope to save money by halting pickup, but some homeowners feel clipped.
