Fire rallies for victory

The Chicago Fire scored twice in the final minutes Thursday night in Los Angeles to defeat Chivas USA 3-2 and remain undefeated.

Down a goal in the 89th minute but with Chivas playing a man down due to a 63rd-minute Jesse Marsch red card, the Fire (5-0-6, 21 points), in first place in the Eastern Conference, tied Chivas USA, in first in the West, on a Patrick Nyarko goal.

Then five minutes into extra time, Fire forward Brian McBride was taken down in the penalty area and Cuauhtemoc Blanco scored on the penalty kick, the third of the game.
