Several people shot on Chicago's South Side
Chicago police say several people have been shot the city's South Side.
Chicago Police Officer JoAnn Taylor says the shootings occurred about 8:25 p.m. Thursday, but initial reports are sketchy and don't include the exact number of victims.
Taylor says early reports from the scene indicate the victims are male and from a wide range of ages. She says none of the injuries appear life-threatening.
No one is in custody. An investigation is ongoing.
A number of Chicago Fire Department ambulances responded to transport the victims, forcing the temporary closing of part of 53rd Street.
