Pledging Faith
Former '60s Blind Faith supergroup band mates Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood have reunited for a PBS "Great Performances" concert airing at 9 p.m. Saturday, May 30, on Channel 11. Stevie Wonder follows with another new "Great Performances" episode at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 3. It must be pledge month.
Conan takes 'Tonight'
Conan O'Brien takes over as host of NBC's "Tonight Show" at 10:35 p.m. Monday, June 1, on WMAQ Channel 5. Will Ferrell will be the lead guest on the debut, with Pearl Jam as the musical guest, but look out for Andy Richter, rejoining Conan as his announcer. Here's hoping they find a spot on the couch for his old sidekick.
Hold the 'Line'
"Walk the Line" could have been just another formulaic musical biopic, but with Joaquin Phoenix channeling Johnny Cash and Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon doing the same for June Carter, it transcends clichés - as so much country music does. It's at 7 p.m. today, May 29, on CBS' WBBM Channel 2.
