Willowbrook-based Loparex expanding

RALEIGH, N.C. -- A suburban Chicago firm that makes coated paper and film is moving its headquarters to North Carolina and is expanding its manufacturing operations there.

Officials say Loparex LLC plans to invest nearly $19 million and create 128 jobs over 3½ years. The Willowbrook-based company is moving its headquarters to Cary, creating 60 jobs, and expanding manufacturing in Eden with 68 jobs.

Loparex now has 92 employees in North Carolina at its Rockingham County plant, where the company plans a nearly $17 million expansion.

The company received incentives from the state of North Carolina that could be worth as much as $2.35 million if Loparex meets development goals.
