Thanks for making West Dundee great

I would like to thank the Backyard Garden Club and the West Dundee families and businesses who have stepped up this year to help with the downtown plantings. As we all know, in these difficult economic times everyone has had to make sacrifices and cost savings, including the village.

I would like to extend special thanks also to West Dundee resident Jill Harris, who has come forward to organize a series of free community activities for this summer and into the fall. Jill recognized the need for events of this kind and has brought energy and enthusiasm into planning them, to the benefit of the entire community. I, along with the Village Board, am very pleased to represent a community with such a sense of pride and involvement from community groups and families that are willing to pitch in and help continue to beautify and make West Dundee a great place to live.
