Indignant? Robin Hood letter nailed it
The person who felt "righteous indignation" over Mrs. Stephenson's Fence Post letter missed the whole point (as did the Herald, judging from the headline they gave it).
The letter was obviously and cleverly tongue-in-cheek and expressed what many of us feel. If President Obama continues to play Robin Hood with our money, there's bound to be a "trickle down" effect.
I think that's what Mrs. Stephenson meant: by cutting back her visits to the beauty parlor, not patronizing her local butcher shop, canceling the lawn service, etc., those businesses will suffer as well. Charities will see fewer contributions as the people who are paying outrageous taxes, and who give most, will pull back.
Now who has a right to feel indignant?
