Woman charged with taping dog to fridge
BOULDER, Colo. -- A 2-year-old shiba inu taped upside down to a refrigerator during a domestic dispute in Colorado has been renamed Yoshi and been adopted by another family.
The dog formerly known as Rex was placed with the Boulder Valley Humane Society after police discovered him April 14. He was recently adopted by a couple who owns two other shiba inus.
Twenty-year-old Abby Toll is charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals and drug possession. Police say she used packing tape to bind the dog's legs, snout and tail, before sticking him to the side of the appliance.
Police say Toll told them she taped the dog because she was mad at her boyfriend for refusing to get rid of the pet.
A judge is allowing Toll to live in Chicago this summer with her mother, who also has a dog.
