North Aurora man denies drug charges
A North Aurora man pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges he possessed more than 20 pounds of marijuana and a kilogram of cocaine.
Juan A. Bolado, 29, was arraigned in Kane County Circuit Court before Judge Thomas E. Meuller. He is charged with cocaine and marijuana possession with intent to deliver.
Bolado was arrested in March after an investigation involving the Kane County Sheriff's special operations unit, immigration and customs officials and local police ended with a raid on his apartment in the 200 block of Laurel Drive.
Also charged is Bolado's roommate, Alfredo Guerrero, 45, who is up for arraignment May 22.
Both men remain in the county jail. Guerrero's bail is set at $1.5 million, while Bolado's is $750,000.
Bolado is due back in court June 5.
