Sox to host Family Day events, yard sale Saturday

The Chicago White Sox will host their sixth annual Family Field Day and Garage Sale at U.S. Cellular Field on Saturday.

As part of the Field Day activities, fans will have the opportunity to take the field at the ballpark and play catch on the outfield grass, visit the dugouts and bullpens, and pose for photos on the field. Fans also get the chance to purchase game-worn and used clubhouse equipment, along with autographed and team-issued jerseys, pants, hats, bats, gloves and baseballs from current and former White Sox players, at the annual Garage Sale.

While tickets for Family Field Day are sold out, admission to the Yard Sale is free and advance reservations are not required.

Former White Sox greats Bill Melton, Minnie Minoso and Moose Skowron will make appearances throughout the day to sign autographs for fans.

The day's activites will last from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at U.S. Cellular Field, 333 W. 35th St., in Chicago.

Proceeds will benefit Chicago White Sox Charities.
