The Force (and George Lucas) will be with us in June

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday for "An Adventure with George Lucas," a tribute to the creator of "Star Wars" on Saturday, June 13, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Chicago's Four Seasons Hotel, 120 E. Delaware Place.

Lucas will discuss his work and life with guest-host Jon Favreau, popular actor, director and writer currently on screen in the comedy "I Love You, Man."

Lucas will be presented with the Gene Siskel Film Center Visionary Award for Innovation in Filmmaking by Art Institute President Wellington Reiter.

General admission is $400, VIP tickets are $5,000, with sponsor tickets ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. For tickets and information, call (312) 846-2072 or go to saic.edu.

Suggested attire for the evening is 'Cocktail Glam,' according to the organizers.

Ticket proceeds will support films, lectures and discussions with scholars and filmmakers at the School of the Art Institute and the Film Center.
