Urges lawmakers to support reform

To the leaders of the Illinois House and Senate: the Illinois Reform Commission has proposed 34 reforms in six areas: campaign finance spending; enforcement; government structure; transparency; ethics.

I read the Daily Herald's recent op ed piece and what they say makes sense. Please consider each of the Illinois reform ideas in the next month and bring these issues to a vote.

I am so embarrassed to live in a state where the last two governors are in legal trouble for the way they run our state. I am disgusted with empty promises of reform - it is getting to the point that I would prefer to vote for non incumbents for everything. If you guys just keep stalling and sitting on your hands with regard to this I will join the swelling ranks of anti-incumbent - can't do much worse than those who have a proven track record of passive resistance.

I will be watching to see how this progress through the system. I am looking for accountability.
