True marriage is one man, one woman
We are told that Iowa has approved homosexual marriage. Try to tell that to the citizens of Iowa.
The supreme law of our land is the U.S. Constitution. This constitution, and the state constitutions can only be changed through amendments, such as we saw in November in Florida, California, and Arizona.
When the people speak on this issue, is has always been with authority to keep marriage as their parents and grandparents have known it, one man, one woman. The votes of the people, or the legislators elected by the people, are the only way the constitution can be added to or changed. The citizens of Iowa and also Massachusetts have not been given an opportunity to speak on this issue. In 30 other states, where the people have spoken in the democratic way, the ballot box, traditional, 2,000-year-old marriage has been overwhelming retained.
In these two states this has not happened. Supreme Court justices, who were appointed, not elected, mishandled their responsibilities to interpret, not make the laws brought before them. A raw judicial action, showing remarkably little respect for our constitution and the people they bypassed. Homosexual activists realize they never win when they go through the people, in the democratic way. They always go to judges they helped elect, who will shamefully write laws instead of ruling if the laws they review are constitutional.
Studies remain crystal clear that our children need, and do far better, with both a father and mother.
The homosexual agenda from the start has pledged to demonize those who disagree. We are called haters, homophobes, and religious nuts. Don't be intimidated or silenced. I certainly won't. Educate yourselves and speak up. With marriage, the stakes are too high not to.
