Thank you for being a hero, captain

Captain Richard Phillips, you are my hero.

I know you said," You are no hero," Capt. Phillips. Actually you are.

I am an immigrant and I travel to India at least once a year. I usually stop in London for a night or two. One time I was introduced to someone with "He is from America, people who aid IRA." Last few years I have been told," You went in Iraq for oil and in Afghanistan for uranium".

At least now I have another reason to confront them that we also defend against bad elements. From your name it sounds like you are Christian. When you were taken, you knew what you are in for. It could have meant anything including death. But you kept your faith, you knew there is someone who will come to your rescue.

I am a Sikh by religion and my religious culture tells me to help others even if it means end of life to you. You proved that there are others with similar believe.

I definitely do not provoke violence, but if we all start standing up against these bad elements, our society will definitely gain. Bad elements only scare people who are afraid of dying. If they find out they (bad people) will be faced with similar consequences, they will start thinking before they hurt others.
