Thanks for help wih softball parade

Heartfelt thanks to the many who helped organize the annual Glen Ellyn baseball/softball parade that was held April 25 to kick off the 2009 season. I would specifically like to thank the Glen Ellyn Park District for its support. Special thanks goes to the entire Glen Ellyn Police Department, members of the Volunteer Fire Company and the volunteers who provided traffic and crowd control to ensure a safe and well-run parade. Also, thanks to our singers, band, parade committee and parade sponsors for entertaining the participants. This year's parade consisted of more than 1,400 baseball/softball players along with their parents and volunteer coaches. After singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," and throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, it was time to play ball throughout Glen Ellyn later that day.
