4 shot, 1 fatally, on Chicago's South Side
Authorities say four people have been shot, one fatally by Chicago Police, in gunfire on the city's South Side.
Mark Payne is a spokesman for the Independent Police Review Authority, which investigates all police-involved shootings. He tells the Chicago Sun-Times the person who died Wednesday was fatally shot by Chicago police.
Payne says the other three victims were not shot by police, but he couldn't give more details. He says a gun was found at the scene.
Fire Department spokesman Joe Roccasalva says the three wounded were taken to area hospitals in serious to critical condition.
