WGN radio tweaks weekends, Agar gets three slots
WGN 720-AM has altered its weekend lineup. Jerry Agar gets the workhorse load with three time slots, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, unless pre-empted by the Cubs. Shawn Wasson, proprietor of thenewsjunkie.com Web site, takes 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. French transplant Simon Badinter plays host to "The Simon Rendezvous" from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Justin time for 'SNL'
Justin Timberlake steps up from musical guest and cameo star to formal host of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" at 10:30 Saturday, May 9, on WMAQ Channel 5. So look for another song parody with Andy Samberg to go along with musical guest Ciara.
Ending with a 'Bang'
"The Amazing Race" concludes its around-the-world competition in Hawaii at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 10, on CBS' WBBM Channel 2. Luke Adams and his mom, Margie, are trying to show that a deaf mute can be as nasty as anybody. Brother-sister lawyers Tammy and Victor are still in it along with former NFL cheerleaders Cara and Jaime. And "The Big Bang Theory," which against all odds established itself as the best show on TV this year, ends its second season at 7 p.m. Monday, May 11, on Channel 2.
Me-ow
There is no excuse for "Catwoman." It has nothing to do with the Batman comic-book character, and it's a miserable movie to boot. But wait. Did I mention Halle Berry in a shredded leather costume? 'Nuff said. It's at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 9, on AMC.
