Ozzie to Alexei: Grab some bench

Jayson Nix is starting at shortstop vs. the Tigers tonight, assuming the rain stays away.

Ozzie likes the way Nix has been fighting at the plate, and his .429 batting average (3-for-7) isn't bad, either.

Ozzie is not at all happy with Alexei Ramirez, so last year's AL Rookie of the Year runner-up is going to be on the bench for an undetermined amount of time.

Ozzie said he doesn't care if Ramirez "goes 0-for-400" as long as he's aggressive. He also doesn't like the way Ramirez is carrying himself during his rough patch.

"When you're down, you've got to get up and start fighting," Ozzie said
