Governor Quinn should speak out

The fact that our state legislature is willing to take a 2.5 percent cost of living increase in light of: (our economy, the fact that our state is broke, people are losing their jobs, most people did not receive pay increases themselves and in many cases have taken pay cuts, and we are possibly going to be hit with an income tax increase) is downright unfathomable.

Governor Pat Quinn should publicly come out and chastise every politician who is willing to accept this increase if he is truly wanting to change what is happening in Springfield.

I urge everyone to contact Governor Quinn's offices either in Springfield (217-782-0244) or Chicago (312-814-2121) and "demand" that he come out and speak on this unfair pay increase which we the taxpayers will have to fund.
