Rolling Meadows schools to reopen Wednesday after swine flu scare

Sandburg Junior High and Central Road schools in Rolling Meadows will reopen Wednesday after closing down Tuesday because a swine flu case.

Palatine Township Elementary District 15 officials said they decided to close the schools "as a precautionary measure" after learning of a probable swine flu case at Sandburg. That child has a sibling at Central Road.

The Cook County Health Department had not required the schools to close, but the district used the day to "perform a complete building-wide disinfection" of the schools with help from an outside company.
