Had enough of Blagojevich yet?

As much as I despise his blatant arrogance, and his apparent limitless appetite for public theater, Rod Blagojevich does seem to intrigue me with the audacity to present himself as some Hollywood icon.

I mean really, a TV reality show? Are you kidding me? His thirst for this public attention may only be topped by his complete ignorance of the character assignation it is creating. He has defiantly taken narcissists to a whole new level.

Bravo to the judge who said no to his attorney's request that he be granted permission to leave town to shoot this so called "reality show." Finally, someone with some common sense.

And whoever this "ambulance chaser" attorney of his is that brought this motion to court, the elevator his brain is on must also be stuck between floors. Does he really think taking this case will boost his career? Think again, it's liable to do the opposite. The public outcry is "don't go away mad; just go away!"

It's not rocket science, nor does it evade even the most intellectually challenged among us, why he is doing what he is. A couple of news conferences here, a talk show there, maybe a reality show, all of which will generate much needed cash for the "war chest" for his defense.

Tell me we haven't stooped this low as a society as to want to watch a disgraced ex-governor make a spectacle of himself on national TV. To be honest, "The Osborne Family Secrets" reality show, with Ozzie himself mumbling incoherently would hold my attention longer. But unfortunately the media continues to give him his "fifteen minutes" of fame, of which he will use every second, especially if he figures it will familiarize the public with his "poor me" position. Apparently he and his mouth piece forgot about the old saying "Familiarity breeds contempt."

Put it this way, if and when a jury is summoned, and the majority feel the way this fed-up taxpayer does, Blagojevich's next tailored suit may be of the one piece orange variety.
