Driver hurt in North Barrington crash

Fire and rescue crews were on the scene of a single-car accident on westbound Half Day Road west of Cherry Hill Road in North Barrington early Monday, officials said.

Officials said a car went off the road at Half Day, hit a tree, then caught fire.

Police have not released information regarding the number and extent of the injuries, officials said, although the driver was taken from the scene to an area hopsial.

Westbound Half Day was closed while officials tended to the accident. It has been reopened, officials said.
