Don't be afraid to speak of God

Why are people on the far left so afraid of the use of the word "God"? And why are we being told that this is no longer a Christian nation?

In FDR's Dec. 8, 1941 speech to the nation, he included he words "So help us God." Portions of his speech are engraved on the World War II Memorial in Washington but the words "So help us God" are not.

I was in high school when that speech was given and I can remember it like it was yesterday. The speech was piped throughout the school. My brother was in the military, and was at Clarck Field on Luzon, and I was worried about him.

I called Melissa Bean's local office, and I asked if they knew who was responsible. The lady I spoke to, told me that I was wrong, that FDR did not use the words, and no one altered the speech. I asked if it was done by the same academic cowards who are rewriting our history books? I also asked if they are rewriting the Gettysburg address? I would not doubt it.

Enough of this nonsense. If the people of this country don't stand up, it will get worse.

Now we are being told by Washington, that they fear that the men coming out of the military will be "right-wing extremists." I say good for them. They fought for this country, and not the crooked politicians, or the academic cowards. I entered the military at 17 years old, I know exactly how they feel.

I fear for my grandkids and my country.

Think before you vote.
