Batavia guild to be featured at Geneva art walk

Need to pick up a unique Mother's Day gift? You're likely to find it this weekend in Geneva, when two art shows combine to offer a reason to shop locally.

The Batavia Artists Guild is holding its Spring Fine Arts Show and Sale at the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third Street. Show hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Today's show coincides with Geneva's First Friday Artwalk, in which several galleries in downtown Geneva open their doors from 6 to 9 p.m.

The guild show at the history center features about 25 artists selling work in a variety of media. Featured artists include:

Aurora: Cass Alexander, Timothy Burns, George Shipperly

Batavia: Liz Aicher, Catherine Bushroe, Ed Cook, Kathy Luedemann, Ray Pittman, Patty Seifrid, Joy Smith, Barbara Steinke, Rosalie Vass,

Geneva: Fatima Figueiredo, Gail Fitzsimmons, Jerry Lake, Lorraine Ochsner, Donald Patterson, Fran Stilwagner
