Benet 8, Nazareth 7: The Redwings (12-5, 5-0) scored in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the suspended East Suburban Catholic Conference game. Connor Reilly doubled home the winning run while winning pitcher John Boyle (5-1) pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief.
Neuqua Valley 6, Lake Park 0: Kevin Clendening improved to 6-0 with the 2-hit Upstate Eight Conference shutout for the Wildcats (13-6, 8-1). The junior struck out six and walked one. Mike Gerber went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI while Ryan Wagner had 3 hits and scored 3 runs.
Naperville North 3, Glenbard North 2: The Huskies (13-5, 6-3) scored all their runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to sweep the Panthers (8-9, 2-7) in their DuPage Valley Conference series. Wes Torrez (4-1) pitched a 4-hitter and Alex Helms drove in the game-winning run. Steve Cocat homered for Glenbard North.
WW South 4, Naperville Central 3: The Tigers (11-7, 4-5) scored 4 runs in the top of the seventh to pull out the DuPage Valley Conference win. Alex Lopez singled home 2 runs to tie it and then scored on an error. Eric Richter (3-0) notched the win and Steve Smith the save against the Redhawks (11-9, 5-4).
Glenbard East 4, West Aurora 2: Mark Krueger and Joe Dathe, who had 3 RBI, homered for the Rams (6-12, 3-6) in their DuPage Valley Conference win. Winning pitcher Cody Thompson (3-3) pitched 5 innings and Sean Little earned the save.
Addison Trail 4, Hinsdale South 1: Nick Larsen was the complete-game winning pitcher for the Blazers (7-13, 3-8), who notched their third straight West Suburban Gold win. Costa Diamond went 2-for-3.
Willowbrook 13, Proviso East 3: A 7-run bottom of the fifth inning ended the West Suburban Gold game for the Warriors (13-7, 9-3). Steve Cox and Chris Savas, who had a 2-run homer, each had 2 hits. Tommy Garbacz (1-1) struck out six in a 4-hitter.
Glenbard South 11, DeKalb 1: The Raiders (11-11, 4-7) ended the Western Sun Conference game by scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the fifth. Winning pitcher Joe Ramirez (2-2), Mike Meath and Matt Behnke each had 2 hits.
Lisle 4, Northridge Prep 3: Two runs in the bottom of the seventh won the nonconference game for the Lions (9-9). Jay Osika's RBI single drove in the winning run. Ty Howell (2-1) was the complete-game winning pitcher.
Montini 6, St. Edward 0: Bobby Pinter blasted a grand slam and Colin Meister fired a Suburban Catholic Conference shutout for the Broncos (11-5, 5-3).
Wheaton Academy 7-14, Luther North 0-5: The Warriors (10-5, 6-2) swept the Private School League doubleheader behind complete-game pitching performances by Jonathan Burdett (1-0) and Nate Nasralla (1-0). Sterling Witt and Eric Albaugh homered in the opener. Colin Kruse had a 3-run double in the second game.
