Lakes wins twice

Lakes' boys track and field team moved a little closer to a divisional "3-peat" Tuesday.

The Eagles assured themselves at least a share of their third straight North Suburban Prairie Division title thanks to wins over Antioch (79-67) and North Chicago (95-45).

Blake Franson won the 800- and 1,600-meter runs for Lakes, while Marcel KirkmanBey captured both the 110 hurdles and high jump.

Carmel wins: The Corsairs captured their 82nd straight dual-meet win.

Carmel (82.5 points) outdistanced Benet (53) and St. Patrick (44.5).
