Motions in Sun-Times bankruptcy case approved
WILMINGTON, Del. -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge has approved several motions in the Chapter 11 case of the Sun-Times Media Group.
Among the motions approved Tuesday were the Chicago-based Sun-Times group's requests to retain lawyers and other professionals to help the company through the bankruptcy process. The judge also said he would approve the debtors' request to hire Huron Consulting Group as a restructuring adviser.
The Sun-Times' creditors committee had objected to the proposed compensation for Huron as unreasonable, but attorneys said the dispute had been resolved just prior to Tuesday's hearing.
The next court hearing is scheduled for May 11.
