Four hurt in three-car wreck on Eisenhower

Four people were taken to Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village after a three-car accident on I-290 Sunday morning.

Elk Grove Village firefighters were called to scene of the accident, which took place on northbound I-290 near Devon Avenue around 9:50 a.m.

None of the three victims appeared to be seriously injured, fire officials said.

The exact cause of the accident has yet to be determined, but rain may have been a factor. Officials said one car may have tried to avoid another that was trying to change lanes and went into a skid. One of the cars hit a concrete divider separating the northbound and southbound lanes.
