Willowbrook 19-23, Proviso East 1-1: Winning pitchers Nick Cuzzone and Alex Gasiamis allowed a total of 3 hits in a pair of five-inning West Suburban Gold wins for the Warriors (12-7, 8-3). Chris Savas went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and 3 RBI in the opener.
Benet 9-11, St. Viator 5-9: The Redwings (11-5, 4-0) stayed unbeaten in the East Suburban Catholic Conference. John Boyle (4-1) and Jake Norton notched the wins while Mac Coffey had 4 hits and 3 RBI on the day. Nick Moore went 3-for-4 with a homer in the second game.
Glenbard West 4-1, Lyons Twp. 1-2: Blake O'Brien (3-1) scattered 6 hits in the Game 1 West Suburban Silver win for the Hilltoppers (8-11, 3-7). Joey Wheeler had 2 hits and Will Caspers drove in 2 runs.
Streamwood 8-6, Waubonsie Valley 6-13: Game 2 winning pitcher Jonny Strauss (1-1) went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI for the Warriors (6-9, 5-4). Eric Sousanes and Trevor Romeo also had 3 hits while Ryne Gill drove in 3 runs.
Hinsdale Central 14-11, Proviso West 1-1: Josh Camalick's fifth-inning grand slam ended the first West Suburban Silver game and Jason McClain's 3-for-4 effort with a homer and 2 RBI helped end the second game in six innings. Winning pitchers Will Pahos (3-2) and Scott Anderko (2-0) went the distance for the Red Devils (11-6, 8-2)
Lockport 11, Naperville Central 10: The Redhawks (9-8) scored 4 runs in the top of the seventh to tie it but Lockport won it with a run in the bottom of the inning. Wesley Webb went 3-for-3, while Bob Czarnowski and Marc Mantucca had 2 hits apiece for Naperville Central.
Minooka 10, Glenbard South 9: Joe Ramirez blasted 2 homers and drove in 3 runs but it wasn't enough for the Raiders (10-10), who surrendered 4 runs in the bottom of the seventh. Mike Meath had 2 hits and 2 RBI for Glenbard South.
Buffalo Grove 3, Lake Park 1: Matt Hammesfahr (0-3) allowed only 5 hits for the Lancers (3-10) in their nonconference defeat.
