Fox Ridge spring bazaar:
The Fox Ridge Parent-Teacher Organization is holding its fifth annual spring bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the gymnasium and community room of Fox Ridge Elementary School, 1905 Tyler Road, St. Charles. Approximately 55 crafters will sell their crafts and merchandise along with the PTO bake sale. Admission is free.
Children invited to play:
A children's play called "The Ox's Trial" by Aurora University junior Travis Winkler will be presented at 11:30 a.m. today at Aurora University's Perry Theatre in the Aurora Foundation Center, 1305 Kenilworth Place. The play is for children up to age 8. Admission is free.
Fox Trot 5K Sunday:

'Laramie Project' in Batavia:
The Albright Theatre Company of Batavia has a benefit performance of "The Laramie Project at 2 p.m. Sunday. Proceeds benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation, a human rights organization named for the gay man whose death launched a national debate on hate crime in America. The play tells the story of his murder in Wyoming, and the crime's impact on the town. For tickets, call (630) 406-8838, or visit albrighttheatre.com.
French Market resumes:
The weekly French Market resumes Sunday in the Metra station parking lot off Fourth Street and Crescent Place in Geneva. It runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features produce, flowers, baked goods, jewelry, accessories and more.
Web aids GAR restoration:
The National Trust for Historic Preservation has established a secure Web site where donations can be made to help with the restoration of the Grand Army of the Republic memorial at 23 E. Downer Place, Aurora. The donations will help defray the cost of recasting the Civil War soldier that has stood guard over the building for more than 130 years, as well as assist with interior rehabilitation.
