Police seek help identifying robbery suspects

Waukegan Police are seeking residents' help in identifying two armed-robbery suspects who ripped off a shoe store earlier this month from video surveillance footage.

Police were called to investigate an armed robbery at the Payless Shoe Store in the 2500 block of Grand Avenue at about 9:10 p.m. on April 16. Police said witnesses saw two black men wearing dark clothing enter the store, point a shotgun at the clerk and demand money.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and led the clerks to a backroom where they were bound with tape. No one was injured, police said.
