Just the start for Lake Zurich's CARE

Another election cycle has come and gone and you, the electorate, have spoken. On behalf of CARE Lake Zurich, I wish to say "thank you" to all the voters who participated in this election on Tuesday, April 7, 2009.

We extend a special thank you to our supporters and those who voted for CARE. You have now put our village's future on a new path. We will work very hard toward revitalizing Lake Zurich in these challenging times. Please stay involved. To those who did not vote or did not vote for us, we have a special obligation to represent you and to earn your support. As your elected officials we recognize we represent everyone in the village and we will work hard to be inclusive.

It takes at least two sides for democracy to work. We thank our opponents for a challenging campaign, gracious concession and years of service in the community.

On a personal note, a huge thanks to our families who have experienced disrupted home lives, missed meals and candidates preoccupied with campaigning. Without your support, the candidates never would have been able to step into the arena. We are deeply grateful to family, friends, supporters, voters and residents. Thank you all.
