Carmel presents spring musical this weekend

Carmel Catholic High School students will be performing the school's spring musical, "Crazy for You," this weekend.

The Gershwin musical comedy, based in the 1930s, is set between the streets of Broadway in New York and a western town in Nevada called Deadrock, with dancing girls and hilarious cowboy characters.

On Wednesday morning, the show was performed before an audience of students from Santa Maria del Popolo School as well as senior citizens and parents from around the area.

"We always look forward to coming every year," said Norm Halford of Antioch. "We are excited about the production and Gershwin really does it for me. We have two grandchildren in the show this year."

Other performances are Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 26 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10. Call (847) 388-3450 for more info.
