Dundee-Crown team thanks supporters
The Dundee-Crown basketball players would like to thank all of the communities and village administrations for the tremendous support and unwavering dedication to Dundee-Crown basketball.
We saw signs and streamers at businesses and appreciated it all. We are grateful for your contributions and we acknowledge the efforts you put forward to help us succeed and celebrate our accomplishments. We feel lucky to live in a community that supports education and rallied around us in our exciting adventure.
This historic season was great, but would not have been the same without a great community and the great people who live here to share in our joy with us. Additionally, if it was not for the people who voted "yes" in the referendum, this season would not have been possible. Thank you very much again and we appreciate everything you have done for us.
The team would also like to thank the Daily Herald and its high school sports staff of Jerry Fitzpatrick and John Radtke for the extensive media coverage you have provided for our team during the course of this season. It made a great and historic season even more memorable. The in-depth articles and excellent photography rivaled a pro sports team for quality of coverage. Your coverage also shines a positive light on our school and we are grateful for this.
We'd also like to thank the fans. This season has been the highlight of our high school career. We would like to thank you for not giving upon our team. Looking up and seeing our parents, friends, cheerleaders, teachers and the red, white and blue clad fans was awesome! Your dedication to supporting this team was an important contribution to our success. We would like to say that you were just as important as the player.
Nothing says icing on the cake like a parade with fire and police escort. The team would like to thank the police and fire departments of our communities for making the parade possible. It was truly an honor being escorted by our towns' bravest and finest.
