Quincy man accused in crash that killed 2 teens
QUINCY -- A man remains jailed in the Mississippi River city of Quincy on charges that accuse him of drunkenly causing the deaths of two teens in a weekend crash.
Nineteen-year-old Matthew Ruble is charged in Adams County with reckless homicide and aggravated driving under the influence.
Illinois State Police say Ruble was eastbound and in the wrong lane of Illinois Route 104 early Sunday when his pickup truck hit a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Ashley Grave of Quincy.
The crash killed two 18-year-old passengers in Grave's vehicle, Jordan Schieferdecker and Alissa Zornes. Graves has been hospitalized.
A hearing Friday could determine if Ruble plans to hire an attorney or gets one appointed to him. He's jailed on $200,000 bond.
