Melting Pot dips into Downers Grove
Popular fondue restaurant, The Melting Pot, is expanding further into DuPage County.
The Melting Pot of Downers Grove opens Tuesday, April 28, at 1205 Butterfield Road. The Downers Grove eatery marks the fifth restaurant of its kind in the area, including other locations in Buffalo Grove, Schaumburg, Naperville and Chicago. Erv Emery and Mike Ruffolo own the local franchises. There are 143 restaurants nationwide and more than 18 under development.
The newest Downers Grove location is more than 5,600 square feet with seating for about 170 people.
The upscale dining location offers a creamy cheese fondue and salad to start. Customers then choose from four fondue cooking styles and a variety of entrees including filet mignon, lobster, breast of chicken, pork, duck, shrimp, salmon and more. Dessert highlights chocolate fondue served with dipping items including strawberries, pound cake and brownies.
